Plaza Hotel Fort Lauderdale – Hotel near airport in Fort Lauderdale

Upon arrival at the hotel, I was met with a warm and humid atmosphere, but unfortunately, the rooms were not up to standard, as they were full of roaches and had a strong smell of paint/cigarette smoke. The service provided by the staff, though friendly and pleasant, was marred by one incident where a staff member barked at us to go to the laundry room. The location had its ups and downs, being close to a football field but marred by closure for three days for an emergency. The dining experience came with its own challenges, including locked doors during certain hours and a disappointing buffet. Unfortunately, the facilities did not live up to expectations, with noisy disturbances from renovations. Overall, my stay was not as enjoyable as I had hoped.

The hotel is extremely unsafe and unsavory, with reports of drug and prostitution activities, unclean rooms, and questionable hotel practices. It is not recommended for families or pets, and guests have experienced concerning behavior by both staff and other individuals at the hotel.
